Ingredients

  • 4 Gala Apples
  • 2 Fuji Apples
  • 1 Granny Smith Apple
  • 1/4 cup White Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp Allspice
  • 1 1/2 cup Water

Directions

  1. Peel, Cut, and Core the apples into thin quarter slices.
  2. Add Apples, Sugar, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, and Allspice to a large mixing bowl and thoroughly mix ingredients together.
  3. Let the mixture sit for 20 min, allowing the sugar to draw the juices from the apples.
  4. In a saucepan add Water and Apple mixture. Cover, and cook over medium heat for 15 to 30 minutes, or until apples are soft.
  5. Allow to cool, then mash with a fork or potato masher.
